I'm excited for V2 but this new credit system is a bit expensive. Just one of my workflows can consume 20k credits in a day from just a couple of users...

Hi @!CarlYouKilledIt, you can checkout this blog to know how the credits works. We have made it to be more flexible and efficient with the new system. https://buildship.com/blog/credit-based-pricing

Hi @!CarlYouKilledIt Please note that previously, there was no way for you to see how much execution was being charged per flow due to not having a dashboard for it. Now, you will be able to access a clear dashboard that shows how many credits are used per workflow over time. Additionally, we had not strictly enforced the plan limits associated with each tier previous; however, we have begun enforcing these limits from now on.

I have to agree with !CarlYouKilledIt that after switching to v2, I am using more than 500K credits per month or more based on the past 30 days logs. This is a significant cost increase. I would have to make a trade-off now, build ship or stick with MAKE/Zapier.

Hi Jeff, BuildShip pricing is 10x less than other platforms. We are making a comparison page soon on this to explain. In the meantime, you can check on your workflows and how many nodes are there are and how much a simpler workflow would cost on other platforms. We have made things super clear on the dashboard for you to understand the usage and perhaps you can do some optimization? As I noted before, we had not strictly enforced the plan execution limits before so you might have exceeded usage limits of your plan but never noticed it as we didn’t have dashboard for you to view the usage. But now that we do we have started to enforce it.

To give context in terms of number 500K credits in usage on BuildShip will cost $79 per month for pro plan + $50 in credit add on = 129 500K ops in Make would cost $410

And as you scale your product, this cost difference will be significant. For example 2M ops on BuildShip = $79 pro plan + $150 top up credits Vs make is $1377 So that's more than $1000 cheaper on BuildShip.

thanks Harini, for the comment. I have shared some of the plan details with your team via support email. I think MAKE (previously Integromat) operates a little differently than the credit system in BuildShip.

We used to pay $1600/mo on Make andn$3k/mo on Zapier. We've been using Buildship for half year and just pay $79/mo. Unbelievable. Even with the new pricing, it beats all the competitors out there. @Harini you've built an amazing product and I'm excited for v2

I think Zapier offers more as an automation solution where buildship was built for different purposes. You can't compare the pricing between them like this.

I have to say, after fixing the V2 shipping issue, V2 is a great platform to build the backend. This is more flexible than MAKE and Zapier, providing the user knows what they are looking for. Pricing-wise, after a few days of testing and business real-time usage, this is a more cost-effective platform than the rest. Good work, BuildShip!

I was just about to say this lol your initial system was just inefficient asf @Julius 😂 you were using make and zapier to build things of course you'd experience a dramatic difference. I never implied I wasn't enjoying buildship and I also agree that @Gaurav Chadha and team have built an amazing and enabling platform. My point was that the pricing system is a lot more pricey than it was... at least in my environment. never said it wasn't affordable or cost effective
