Ok clicked on the Google option and I'm in but I wasn't aware of having registered that before.
I think a lot of platforms fall down on this matter, I have hundreds of apps I'm using I don't remember exactly what the process is for logging into each one, in this case I could see that I was getting emails to a non google email.
Even now under my profile all I can see is that I'm registered using a non google email, no mention of a link to my Google account.
Better transparency to Auth for the user really makes use and in particular transitions a lot less disruptive.
